Meet our handsome but not so confident little chap, Conga!
When he first came into our care he was very nervous and would hide himself away in his bed for most of the day. When lockdown began his confidence grew little by little everyday and now enjoys exploring his pen and watching the world go by outside. Though at first he may greet you with a little hiss like a grumpy old man, he is a very shy and gentle little soul.
Conga soon relaxes with a little company and is more than happy to receive a little head and shoulder rub (don’t we all)! Albeit from the comforts of his hidey hole currently but that does not stop him enjoying the attention, whilst purring and dribbling!
Conga was brought into us via an RSPCA inspector after being found stray locally in the area for months. He needed quite a big dental procedure which has since been done, all he needs now is that new home and family he deserves. Conga would be best suited to a quieter household where he can feel safe and loved. Due to his shy nature any potential new adopter for Conga would be required to visit the centre to meet and socialise with him before adoption.
***He will need an owner who has had experience with nervous and shy cats before and who has the time and patience to work with him, it may take weeks, months or even longer for him to completely settle in a home environment.***
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING PLEASE REVIEW OUR REHOMING PROCEDURE PAGE WHERE YOU CAN ALSO FIND OUR APPLICATION FORMS
