*CONGA IS CURRENTLY IN A FOSTER HOME BUT STILL ON THE LOOK OUT FOR HIS FURREVER HOME*
Meet our handsome chap, Conga!
When he first came into our care he was very nervous, hissy and would hide himself away in his bed for most of the day. When lockdown began his confidence grew little by little, if you’re quiet you can see him venturing out of his hidey hole to have a look outside but once he hears you he quickly runs back to the comfort of his bed.
He is quite aloof and does not actively seek human company or attention.
UPDATE 26/3/21 (Conga has been in his foster home since the end of Jan 2021)
Since being in a foster home with another cat and rabbits, handsome Conga has blossomed into a cuddly lap cat.
Once he has gained your trust he will enjoy a chat and snuggles, he’s quite a dribbler.
He’s become more confident and has even met new people where he is happy to accept a treat.
He does still get anxious with any changes in the home and even though he’s been very polite with the other animals we feel he would benefit to being the only animal in the household where he can have all the fuss/attention and love he deserves.
He will probably always need a safety hiding place, he does get anxious/stressed if he hasn’t.
Even though after some time he may not use it, he likes to know it is still there for if or when he may need it.
Conga was brought into us via an RSPCA inspector after being found stray locally in the area for months. He needed quite a big dental procedure which has since been done, he now only has one tooth left but eats wet food with ease and Dreamies of course (His Favourite) .
A calm adult only household with no other animals, where someone is home most of the time to help him thrive more would be preferred.
Conga will need a very understanding and patient owner who is able to meet his needs.
*A potential adopter would need to meet Conga at the centre prior to adoption – Appointments can now be made.*
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING PLEASE REVIEW OUR REHOMING PROCEDURE PAGE WHERE YOU CAN ALSO FIND OUR APPLICATION FORMS
