Meet our cheeky chops, Gizmo!
Gizmo certainly is full of character.
Gizmo is a lovely, friendly boy who enjoys attention but will tell you when he has had enough.
He is quite a sensitive soul, on arrival he was very nervous and did lash out but once he got to know his surroundings and the staff he become quite content and is loved by the team.
Gizmo has now been with us for over 9 months, so we are really on the search for his new family.
He will need an owner who is happy to let him settle at his own pace and understand his quirky ways.
Gizmo came into the centre via the RSPCA as his owner could no longer care for him.
He would be prefer to be the only animal in the home or could possibly live with a neutered female cat.
Children over 16 years old who understand cats would be best.
Gizmo has Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), he is showing no physical symptoms of this as it was caught quick on arrival.
He is on medication for life which is called Clopidogrel 18.75mg which costs approx. £30 a month depending on your vet practise. He is a super star at taking his medication!
At present he will need yearly scans to check on his heart.
Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) is the most common type of heart disease found in pet cats.
It causes the heart muscle to become abnormally thick, and because of this, the chambers inside the heart get smaller.
