Say Hello to our handsome young boy, Jasper.
Jasper is one of a kind!
He is a lovely boy who gets overexcited very quickly, he will swipe and bite your hands but not in an aggressive manner.
He will ask for attention but once he has it, he does not really know how to deal with it.
We do feel that a lot of his negative behaviour is due to a lack of socialisation, so he will need someone who understands his behaviour and is able to cope with it.
Jasper is still a young chap so we are hoping a home where he has plenty of opportunities for discovery and stimulation will help him. He will need activities and interactive play sessions to keep him entertained.
Jasper came into the centre as his owner could not meet his needs.
Unfortunately Jasper did some damage to his front left foot which has left his with an unstable wrist joint which could lead to arthritis in later life. Jasper is a very active boy and this does not seem to stop him doing anything!
Due to this Jasper will need to be on a long-term pain relief called Metacam which you can purchase from your vets.
As this will be a long term medication, Jasper will need bloods taken every 6 months for monitoring.
This should be discussed with your vets.
Jasper will be a hand full but also a very rewarding challenge for someone who has the confidence to deal with him.
Children 16 years old + who are used to cats.
He could possibly live with a bold female cat who is able to tell him off and help him learn.
