Say hello to Llew!
Llew is a certainly a character, he is a nice boy but on his terms.
He will come up to you for attention but if he does not like something he is quite fast to let you know about it.
Llew has a cleft lip which does not cause him any issues.
He loves playing with his toys and is quite active for his age.
He is an old boy who is looking for a retirement home where he can do his own thing.
Llew came into the centre as a stray via a vet practice.
He will need to be groomed from time to time which he is not keen on but he does groom himself well.
Llew has a Thyroid issue which means he will need to be on medication for the rest of his life.
This is called Thyronorm 5mg Oral Solution which needs to be given twice daily in his food.
30ml Bottle- Approx £20 – Lasts around 20 days
100ml bottle – Approx £62 – Lasts around 66 days
This will need to be purchased from your vets.
He will need his bloods twice a year which will require sedation as Llew is not a fan of the vets!
Llew’s recent blood results (March 22) show that his thyroid results are stable but his kidney levels have decreased.
Due to this Llew is now on a specific diet to help him – Royal Canin Renal Wet + Dry Food which will be for life.
