Dorothy is a gorgeous 8 month old Colie cross Jack Russell.
She is a nervous, yet friendly young dog who has lacked the early introduction to socialising and training. She is therefore looking for an owner who has the patience to undertake the training and socialisation needed at a suitable pace.
She can be jealous of other dogs going near her owner so will need to do quiet walks until she gets used to going out and about in the streets and parks.
She is friendly with dogs as she has lived with them previously and does like to be around them.
She will require a minimum of 2 x 30 minute walks per day and as outlined above, this will need to be in quiet areas until she becomes more confident.
Dorothy is gentle with treats and does respond to her own name
She is happy playing on her own with toys, but will need to learn the skills to better interact with her adopters.
At this stage, she does not travel well in the car as she is unused to it,
She is nervous on her lead and does need encouragement. She is getting better, but this will take time.
Whist she does understand some basic commands, she will need training to ensure she gets the most out of life. Please check out what training is available near you.
