This is Harri she was brought into
centre after being rescued from a puppy farm.
These pups have missed out on the crucial socialisation periods
which has left them fearful of people and new situations.
They have all begun to make some progress in gaining a little confidence but there
is a lot of work to be done in helping these little ones to learn how to cope in our busy world.
Patience in allowing them to adjust to their new environment at their own pace will be essential,
Letting your pup approach you when its ready to do so and encouraging them with food
as rewards will help bring out more confident behaviour as they begin to build trust.
Having an awareness of their body language will also help you understand how your pup is feeling
and what it is trying to communicate.
Please be aware these puppies are not house trained and they do not know how to walk on the lead.
Some of these pups may not be suitable for young children due to their fear issues and
some would be best re-homed with a calm confident dog.
