Paul is a 3 year old Labrador cross.
He was brought into the centre via the RSPCA
Paul was under weight and had terribly sore skin due to a flea allergy, but he is on the mend now and doing really well.
Paul has suffered from fits whilst in our care which the vet has now diagnosed and started him on treatment to control these which he will need to be on for life along with periodic blood tests to ensure the medication is working.
Paul needs a stress free environment to help keep his fits at bay.
Paul loves quieter walks in fields and woodland.
He loves to sniff for food in the grass, it helps to calm him.
Paul also also enjoys his training…so he can eat some more food and learn to be calm.
Busy places, Paul is a sensitive dog and is easily stressed out by different environments, so the calmer and more peaceful the better.
Paul finds it difficult meeting new people so a single owner would be best suited.
Paul has a lovely nature once he gets to know you but he does need time to build the trust
After a difficult start in life Paul is now looking for an owner who can cater to all his needs.
Paul would prefer to be the only dog in the household and cannot live with cats.
Paul will require continued training as well as regular exercise.
Medication for fits – Phenoleptil would cost approximately 70p per day
