He is full of life and has plenty of energy to walk for hours on end.
He is quite a clever dog and already knows how to Sit and Lay Down.
Reuben can be a little boisterous at times due to his excitement levels so will need an experienced owner who is willing to keep working on his training.
He is super affectionate and loves nothing more than sitting on your lap and will happily have his stomach tickled for all the time you have.
He is very playful, likes to tug on toys and a chew. At times he can mouth when playing, but absolutely knows the limits.
He does get on with most dogs so may be able to live with another friendly dog.
Reuben may be suitable to live with children of upper primary school age who are used to a dog.
Reuben does suffer from a condition called Colour Dilution Alopecia and has very sensitive skin which will need to be carefully managed throughout his life. He does require a particular food high in Omega 3 and 6, as well as supplements to help his skin and a daily medicated spray to help keep his skin and coat under control. The cost of the supplements and sprays will be approximately £50 – £70 per month.
Sadly he will eventually lose all his hair and may suffer from flare ups of his skin which may need vet checks and antibiotics to control any possible infection but with good management this will hopefully be a rare occurrence.
